I didn't consider Marquez an ATG until the 3rd Pacquaio fight.
Question about De La Hoya and Marquez.....

Is either Trinidad or Mosley an ATG??? Oscar also had a a lot of close fights with elite fighters in his time that you can argue he won because of his status..... Not necessarily ATG's but very good..... Nothing or no one on his resume can compare to Pacquaio at the time Oscar fought them imo
And the only clear loss Marquez has is to MayweatherComment

No it's not. He then turns around and calls Calzaghe/Mosley an ATG.Comment

Great Question! First let me start by saying im Mexican American so the race card doesnt play with meHear me out people.......
I read on here everyday about how Oscar was a good fighter, but not an ATG because he didn't win his biggest fights. I also listen to people say everyday that Marquez is an ATG because he should have a win over Pacquiao, and probably should have won a couple other fights that were losses.
So my question is this......if we're giving Marquez credit for his 3 close fights with Pacquiao (where he should have at least had one win) and what should have probably been wins over Norwood and John, why don't people give Oscar credit for his close fights with Mosley (where he should have at least one win) and what probably should have been a win over Trinidad????
Why is that???
second
the reason why is because ignorant Mexican fans and ignorant boxing fans have hatred towards Oscar and are jealous of him because he won an olympic Gold Medal and became the super star that he is today. He is a good looking guy and has tons of money! Mexicans say he isnt a real mexican (whatever the Fawk That means) and his style isnt that of a real mexican (style being use your head for defense and hit and get hit until someone falls)
Oscar had great technique and did more for the sport than anyone today.
He gets dogged by ignorance on here andn in the general public
thats my take on itComment
