did anyone notice that bob arum is so confident that he can make the fight? what happened to all that "it's impossible to make a fight with floyd" crap?

For any of you who said its too late for this fight:

Did you (if you were around) feel the same way about SRL/Hearns (2 year delay), Hagler/SRL (5 year delay) or ODH/Felix (odh won lineal title in 97 fought Felix in 99)?

Pac and M.JR are not

I was sick that SRL said no to Hagler in that ring,,tremendous let down. Hagler was still in his prime at that time, Leonard had that eye problem, a very young fighter, and when they fought Hag was out of prime and thats the reason he lost the fight.

I am trying to say it would have been a great fight , maybe GREATER than Pac and JR if they would have fought in their prime.

Hag didn't only look slow he was slow. Not his fault , Old man time claims us all.

I don't care if they were prime, I asked did you feel the fight was "too late" since they waited 2 years? your post suggests you didn't. which is fine.

Delays have happened all the time when it comes to making fights. The only difference is now with the NSB, the delay factor is debated daily by the fringe elements of each fanbase.

so guys who weren't making as much as manny showed balls by signing with TR to get a manny fight. of course they did it for the challenge, not the money. hmmm?

wouldn't that mean Manny would have to show balls and sign with GBP or TMT to get the floyd fight, since he makes less than floyd? or shouldn't he have taken either offer since its for the challenge and not the money? or does manny not REALLY WANT IT?

If Jr really wanted the Pac fight , it was wide open for him to take it but when that day came to take it he took little JMM and cheated on the weight to TOP IT ALL OFF ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WHY ? We all remember there was a clamor from Roach for JR to fight Pac at that time.

Do you really believe Manny was afraid of needles, didn't want to take random blood and urine testing in 2010-2011, or just didn't want it???

Do you really believe Bob Arum needed to build a stadium, that Manny's cuts needed extra time, and that he didn't know who to contact on Floyd's side for the fight, or that he just didn't want to make it???

Hopefully they can get it done for Spring 2013.

didn't see the necessity of doing blood tests just because the Mayweathers were afraid of him.

IF Pac and Jr ever fight they will need a huge area. They don't need to build a stadium they can fight in TEXAS. OH oh sorry, forgot they don't allow that "STUFF" Jr uses . But its ok for him to use something but YOU CAN't ???

Mannys cuts needed all the healing they could get cause Jr would target that eye to get it started bleeding again. ( one reason that I would love for him to stay out of the ring until April )

Promoters are wickedly greedy of MONEY and will do all they can to ruin fights for the hardcore but play to the money in the hands of the general public. They gamble on fighters to win and build up the train wreck. Problem is they lose some of those bets,,,,,,,WE LOSE !!!!!

The fight should have been made when Jr fought JMM, he should have fought PAC instead but he didn't want to.

DOn't dodge the question you quote. If this is CGarcia's standard for "wanting the fight " it should apply to both fighters equally.

There was no "clamor" to fight Floyd from Roach. If so, Manny would've agreed to the fight in dec09. Floyd agreed to fight, gave manny what he wanted, and manny refused to fight over OSDT in dec09. If manny doesn't refuse then, EVERYTHING else subsequent DOES NOT happen.

Floyd can't make manny sign to fight. All he can do is make an offer. If manny refuses, it means he doesn't want the fight.

IF the fight grosses 200 mil

and you are offered a flat 40 mil :

expenses , promoters fee etc..... comes out of that

and YOUR opponent gets the 160 mill

manny has never made more than $28 mil (including ppv revenue). So if the fight grosses $200 mil manny ONLY gets $40 mil. Thats still 40% more than he has EVER made, even with the higher ppv share. WOuld you turn that down?

Be truthful, floyd THE FIGHTER isn't getting $160 mil, Floyf the PROMOTER is getting a return on his investment. Manny is getting less because he doesn't have the same deal. That isn't floyd's fault is it?

WHat if fight doesn't gross $200 mil. Oh yeah, manny still gets his $40 mil and doesn't lose a dime.

I was alive and had ears to hear mang. Roach was disappointed that JR took the JMM fight instead of Pac.

by memory which is fading fast, LOL,,,,, Pac fought Cotto , has some ear damage in NOV, and this is what NO ONE WOULD TALK ABOUT:

JR saw Pacs damage and wanted the fight early so he would not have time to RECOUP !!!!!!!!!!!! That ####### !!!!!!!!!!! That made me madder than anything, and showed me what Jr really was. I could never pull for a man like him.

Without shouting all the reasons for disliking Mr. JR , please know, I would just assume to have a snake in the house.
