Cuba 6 Gold 10 total
USSR 1 Gold 8 total
East Germany 6
Bulgaria 2
Poland 5
Hungary 2
Czechoslovakia 1
If every country besides the USSR participated in 1980 and Cuba, Poland, East Germany, Bulgaria were there i'm sure the US medal count would look the same as it did lolLast edited by Khmelnytsky; 08-12-2012, 03:11 AM.Comment

Am I wrong or is Cuba considered only an ally and not an eastern block country?Comment

Yes you're right that refers to the Eastern and Central European Warsaw Pact members. Communist Bloc would be more fitting to describe the boycott since other communist countries and Soviet allies like Cuba and North Korea also participated.Comment

Love your Jirov sig, he was one of my favorite fighters. I had the pleasure of watching him from ringside against Toney. Although he lost I always considered it his best and gutsiest performance.Comment

If USA Boxing had participated in the Moscow games it's not hard at all to picture the USSR winning 0 golds. Especially with the caliber of boxers we had back then.Last edited by ShoulderRoll; 08-12-2012, 04:08 AM.Comment
