Can somebody explain to me how they are allowed to sign these fighters to a pro contract in the middle of the olympics when nobody else is allowed to?

This is why i dont support a global boxing commission, because they would have too much power like AIBA has in amateur boxing

I have a feeling that its not a perfight contract, its probably a yearly salary, and I'd wager its less than 100k a year.

Boxers in the WSB were getting around 30k a year, and it wasn't on a fight by fight basis.

Lol. I don't blame AIBA for this. I blame these guys who are too chicken **** to turn pro. These guys love the amateur system because there they are kings. What did u expect? Most of these guys probably don't have what it takes to make it to the top of the pro ranks so why the hell should they risk it if they can keep on winning gold medals and still make pro like money.

Its fairly absurd for them to do that. It borders on unethical, preventing the fighters from hearing the offers from other promoters.
