Do you hate catchweights...?

If a fighters signs to fight non of that bull**** matters. cotto fought margarito at a catch weight where was the outrage there? I love cotto BTW. ****in canelo has fought 5 cathweights nobody knows about. Catchweights happen very often.

If both fighters agree then that's it. Fans who complain about that are excuse making *******.

I agree, cotto agreed/signed the fight, for whatever reason (money, wanting to give the fans a fight they wanted, legacy, etc). That still doesnt excuse the b.s. on manny's part of demanding the catchweight to begin with tho, solely for the purpose of weakening his opponent.

There was plenty of 'outrage' when cotto asked for the catchweight, he certainly isnt innocent there. But imo, consdiering all circumstances (margarito beating him with plaster before, margarito fighting at 147 previously, etc), a 152 pound catchweight was a non issue. Both fighters were comfortbale coming into the ring, and besides that, idgaf about the cheater, cotto should have been allowed brass knuckles as far as im concerned.

edit: 153 lb catchweight, at that point cotto should have just scrapped the catchweight, not like it would make any difference, but i think he just wanted to stick it to the cheater who did him wrong as much as he could.
