Haha. No problem. I'm biased as well. Haugen destroyed my favourite fighter BITD and I loved the way he played the role of the villain in his opponents backyard. Unlike most other trashtalking visitors I've seen in this country, he backed it up Big time.
I never really liked Paz. Something about him turned me off. I've obviously got a ton of respect for him recovering from his horrible accident and had a good career after that, even though everybody knows he was juicing hard.
A lot of people feel that day about him and I can understand it. I usually don't like fighters like that, but I've seen him in the gym working with myself and other guys and he is a great person
Trash talking can be more than just talking with the mouth; showboating, brawls at press conferences, choking people, spitting etc all good.
Feel free to go more than 10 if you want, old school or new school or mix in both. I'm going newer school for my list.
Who is/was the GOAT shit-talker in boxing and the rest of the top 10 in your list?
G.O.A.T- Ali
2. Mayorga
3. Margarito
4. Hamed
5. Tyson
6. Roy Jones
7. Angel Garcia (easily working his way up to Mayorga status soon)
8. JCC Jr.
9. Rios
10. Mayweather (I find most of his trash talking really corny but he's good at getting under people's skin)
Honerable mentions; Angel Garcia, Barrera, Fernando Vargas, Camacho, Hopkins, Bowe

Wait wait wait, did anyone mention Donaires wife?!?! Shewas talking trash before the montiel fight and i believe she even talked trash about jinkee. I felt she had a mouth on her. One of these days shes gonna write a check Donaires aa#* wont be able to cash
I disagree with you on the bold. There have been plenty of good trash talkers since Ali. They may not have been as charismatic with what they said and actions but there have been plenty of good ones.
Why was he an unlikely political figure to you? I mean he took a stance on injustices and spoke loudly about them and stood with the other top black athletes of that era on those issues. I mean Jim Brown was more of a political figure than Ali was just that Ali was more famous.
What made him an unlikely political figure was some of the unintentional depth the things he would say went. This was covered well in the Ali doc when he was being thanked by asians, and he had no clue what it was for (his stance on vietnam)
He was a gifted orator too, let's not underrate his fame. His ability to come up with something awe inspiring or hilarious to say on the fly is still unequaled in boxing and equally made him a presence in the media. I think the closest thing has been Tyson, but Mike was often unintentionally hilarious because of his wild behavior and he would say some of the dumbest things that had you bowled over laughing.
