Im sure this is going to be news to you but.. you can be #1 in your division and be on the decline. Guy is 37, talking about 1 more fight then retirement and hasn't fought in how long? And last notable opponent is.. Rafa Marquez who himself was coming off multiple beat downs?

Nishi may be a proud dude but his time at the top looks to be just about up and I could see this from a mile away.

He may not be a spring chicken but he is certainly one of, if not the best fighters at 122, even at his age.

He's the #1 fighter at 122. How do you possibly cherry pick the #1 fighter in your division?

For all you guys that think Nonito is taking on the #1 I'll tell not, Nishioka was the best at 122 some years ago, he ain't no more he is 36 going on 37 in a low weight division that historically is not kind to "older" fighters, he is the more accomplished but not the #1 neither the best right now, arguably Rigondeaux and Mares are the top dogs at 122... IMO he is taking a very calculate risk fighting Nishioka it could backfire but I doubt it.

lol....rigo has a ten bum resume, nonito has fought in 14 consecutive title fights(that's right..more world title fights that rigo has had career fights, and we all know u fights bums at the beginning) that include a ko and upset of the year over top p4p ranked fighters...how is rigo no:1 again??? it's a joke rigo has fought nobodies and handed a paper title...u getting potential and amature pedigree confused with pro achievement
