Props to Donaire for fighting Nishioka. WV2 was pointless at the time, as was little Narvaez. Mathebula wasn't bad, he had a title and was in the Top 10.

But Nishioka, along with Rigondeaux, is one of the fights Donaire has to take before going to 126. Donaire gets credit if he beats Nishioka. Nishioka may not be "prime", but he's the top guy in the division at the moment and is still good. Can't wait for these fights.

I wouldn't consider vazquez jr to be that pointless of a fight...vazquez was still top ten best sbw at the time, former champ with only 1 loss, young with good power. it was a decent first fight for donaire at 122..now mares' fight against morel at 122 ..that imo was pointless.

Are you seriously holding the fact that fighters decline his challenges against him? Rigondeaux has been begging for these fights, and he's only ten fights in. You're acting like the guy declined a fight or something. If the guys he calls out choose not to fight, he has to fight someone.

Don't no one want any parts of Rigo. All this talk about him fighting lesser caliber fighters is moot when the man is practically knocking on these dudes' door & they're scared to even look through the peephole, like they're gonna get punched in their eye through the door, SMDH.

not at all..what im holding againts him is his weak opposition...also , i never said he declined a fight, instaed i said the only guy he likes to call out is nonito...and now that nonito is tied to fighting the #1 guy in the division, rigo needs to fight someone worthy (whether named fighters or other top guys) not prospects...that would sure better his chances of fighting nonito or nishioka in the future..

Nishioka a step up from both IMO.

Nishioka is going to provide us with a real fight. If, not when, if Donaire gets past him he'll have proven something. My only hope is that Rigondeaux soon gets a chance against either one of these guys.

#1 Rigo nuthugger and he's not even a fan. Quite an accomplishment if you ask me.
