Anyway, if Cotto weighed in at 146 for Clottey, why not fight Cotto at 147? What's a lb or two right?

And Margarito was the 154 lb champ, not 151.
at what point was Cheato a 54lb champ?

I think it'd be really fun while it lasted, but ultimately Pac is taking a f***ing beating in this fight. It's a borderline mismatch. Neither guy is the hardest fighter there ever was to hit, but Leonard's chin and power are simply too much.

            Leonard vs Pacquiao
            ROUND 1
The opening bell rings and both fighters meet in the middle of the ring. Right away Ray opens up with his jab. Manny is slipping it quite well and trying to land his own jab. Ray opens up with a combo and Manny throws at the same time and catches Ray with a big left hand that knocks him off balance. Ray smiles at Manny to acknowledge the shot and is embarressed. Manny charges in but is immediately tied up. Ray begins using his lateral movement and doubles and triples the jab. The bell rings ending the round. Round goes to Manny.

            ROUND 2
Manny comes out very determined but Ray stays on the outside popping the jab. Its starting to land. But, Manny is much quicker than Ray anticipated and starts catching Ray with more left hands. The southpaw style seems to be troubleing Ray. Manny is not cutting the ring off very effectively and Ray is using his legs and the ring a lot. Not manny shots are landing now for either fighter. The bell rings with Manny winning it for his aggression.

            ROUND 3
Ray comes out again flicking his jab and on his toes. Manny is noticeably growing frusrtated and motioning for Leonard to fight. Leonard obliges by stepping in and throwing a quick flurry and then tying Manny up. Referee breaks them. Leonard steps back, Manny rushes in and gets caught with another combo and is tied up again. The referee breaks them. Ray's jab is starting to puff Manny up around the eyes. Round 3 ends with both guys throwing in the middle of the ring. Round goes to Leonard.

            ROUND 4
Round 4 opens with Ray back on his toes. Manny is using superb foot work darting in and out with straight lefts and right hooks. Not much is landing. Ray opens up with another flurry but gets caught again with a viscious straight left that drops him. He gets up right away by the count of 3. Manny jumps on him thinking that he is hurt but gets caught with a mean right uppercut that stops his attack. The bell rings and Manny wins the round.

            ROUND 5
Manny runs to the middle of the ring with bad intensions. But surprisingly, Ray stands flatfooted. Manny opens up but Ray clinches and walks him back until the referee breaks them. Ray is still popping the jab and Manny's right eye is almost closed. Ray is throwing straight right hands and left hooks to the body. Manny tries to get inside but once again is tied up. Ray has decided to walk Manny down and is being effective. Manny is now using his legs as he did with Margarita. He's moving to his left because he is having a hard time seeing out of his right eye. His left hand is still finding its mark on Ray's chin but does not seem to have the same effect. The bell rings with Ray winning the round.

            ROUND 6
Ray comes out and has launched a viscious body attack. He starts his attack to the body and ends it with an explosive left hook to Manny's head. Manny staggers back and motions for Leonard to come forward. Ray is feinting then jabs. Ray is starting to fight a very smart fight. Manny is going for broke but is missing most of his power shots. The right eye is now completely shut and he can not see the left hook coming. Ray his hitting him at will with double hooks to the body and head and ends the combo with a straight right hand. Manny finally clinches but is dropped to one knee by a sharp right uppercut on the inside. He beats the count and still motions for Ray to come to him. The bell rings with both guys throwing leather. The crowd is going crazy. The round goes to Leonard.

            ROUND 7
Manny comes out fast but is stopped in his tracks by a left hook and right uppercut. He retreats to the ropes. Ray opens up with power shots and Manny responds like a true warrior with big left hands. But the bigger Leonard is walking through them now. Leonard starts his showboating, throwing the bolo punch and doing the Ali shuffle. He's sticking his neck out for Manny to hit him, but circles away to his left when Manny tries to engage him. Manny walks into another crushing left hook that staggers him. The bell rings Leonard wins another round. Roach asks Manny is he ok between rounds. He tells Manny to give him something or he will stop the fight.

            ROUND 8
Manny comes out at the bell with his right eye shut and his nose bleeding. He throws his punches in desparation, but is now getting countered by a determined Leonard. He throws a weak right jab and once again is caught by a big left hook by Ray. Manny staggers to the ropes. Ray cautiously approaches and throws his jab. The ref is watching closely. Ray opens up with a sharp combo that rocks Manny's head back. The ref lets it go on. Ray sets it back up with his jab and then unleashes another viscious combo that rocks Manny. Roach throws in the towel at the same time the ref was about to stop the fight. Sugar Ray Leonard wins by TKO.

No point. Anyway, why do you think Pacquiao negotiated for a 151 lb fight for a 154 lb title, and was that right?

Pacquiao wouldn't be a WW in that era, SRL would win.
