That would be a true beating by Ray. Even Roach has admitted that Pacquiao wouldn't have anything on Ray.

Ouch lol. Flo-mos are feeling it.
Leonard waited for Hagler to show signs of slowing down. He's just trying to appease the Pacquiao fanatics who he obviously rubbed the wrong way with his initial "I'd beat Pacquiao" comment.

He was only a year older than Pacquiao is now when he lost every round to Terry Norris and was knocked down twice.
Pac thinks hed beat SRL as well. SRL would have a better chance against Pac at lightmiddlweight and above.

Welterweight and above would be slaughter to the highest degree.

Leonard did make him wait but had Hagler truly slowed down? What fight did Hagler look bad in up to that point to make anyone think that he had slowed down?He had not lost a fight in almost 10 years and had like 10 straight KO's. In his last fight before Leonard, he went toe to toe with an undefeated and young viscious punching KO artist in Mugabi. I don't think that's considered slowing down. Leonard was at that fight and saw holes in Hagler's style that only he could exploit. But remember, Ray had not fought in like 3 years and was knocked down by a lesser opponent in Kevin Howard in his last fight. So, the playing field was even. Hagler was still a dominant champion. And for Ray to come up to 160 for the 1st time in his career and be so competitve and entertaining, proves his greatness whether you thought he won or not.
