Of course people are going to go into great technical detail when it comes to Floyd. Pac's road to greatness in the lighter weight classes involved fading or overmatched opponents. Trilogies with fighters who were easier to beat than they were in their first fight. Floyd challenged himself in the lower weights. Phillip N'Dou was on a killer win steak and 30KOs of 31 wins, he was a monster and Floyd made him look like a bum. The only fighter Pac made look like a bum was 2nd and 3rd fight Morales. JMM made Pac look like a bum last year. Floyd's legacy is set in stone. Game over. Manny's legacy will come under close scrutiny

Bob Arum wanted more options on floyds future fights.

So Floyd turned it down and made 8 million to fight Baldomir. Minus Bob Arum. (bought out bobs contract for 750,000)
      Smartest thing Mayweather ever did.

Look all of these fights didn't happen for one reason or another.......but it doesn't change the fact that floyd is an all time great. EVEN WITHOUT A PACQUIAO FIGHT.
      Just about spot on.

Arum had dibs on Floyds next two fights had he beat Margarito. When Arum told him that he wouldn't get the Dlh fight, and that he should know when to play and when to fold his cards...Floyd was not going to fight ANY Top Rank fighters once he left because he found out about Arums ways, and that he got great advice from Dlh in terms of self promotion.

      He also owed Floyd money.

You should never post about boxing.
Saying Pryor has a better resume than Floyd tells me all that I need to know.

You don't know **** about boxing.(roger mayweather voice)
Just another hater acting like some boxing historian.

My lesson for today is......don't debate with dumb ass posters.

cant count, cant read, cant spell.....

all for a guy who has yet to beat a hall of fame fighter in their prime.

Seriously, how great can you be when your best win is diego corrales & you have never beaten a prime legit hall of fame opponent?

        wtf is wrong with people?

Pac's resume was never under any scrutiny, because no one ever proclaimed him to be the GOAT. During that span he was beating all those legends, they were still legit wins. Don't act like he wasnt an under dog in each of those fights barring the 1st Morales fight. He even beat Lehlohonolo Ledwaba before them to get recognition. He was a heavy heavy under dog in that fight too.

All you hear about is money, and excuses with these clowns. No one ever says, "yeah he did duck a gang of fighters." It's always, "well this year, you see Bob Arum, and then Bob Arum happened, and then he retired, and he didn't have to fight this guy, so he fought Baldomir and Gatti, and then blah blah, Bob Arum.

He owed Floyd money for the Gatti and Judah fights. Yes you are correct.
All this is fact......But after all these years some posters still claim Floyd ducked Margarito.

                  You calling us clowns?
                  You state opinions never facts.

How can I say that Floyd ducked when I got facts that say otherwise.
Name a fighter you think Floyd ducked...and i can prove your full of ****

Floyd had been a 147 pounder since 2005 & his welterweight resume consisted of a shot career 140 pounder sharmba mitchell, judah, baldomir, & hatton.

after beating ricky hatton at 147 when hatton clearly struggled vs collazo,

floyd retired from boxing the 1st time when the welterweight division the hottest & deepest in all of boxing.

Prime paul williams. Prime Margarito. Prime Cotto. Younger Shane. All t those fights left off the table & floyd let everybody beat themselves then he just came in & picked up the pieces & scraps like a human vulture.

He ducked big time at 147.

Exactly, but you never hear them defending the retirement issue. Because they cant.
