Teaching someone how to fight on the inside after hundreds of fights, thousands of rounds, and millions of punches thrown is a long term task that Khan doesn't have the time for (since Khan doesn't want regress the level of his opposition).

Steward is actually a great trainer for Khan because of his history of teaching his fighters how to AVOID inside fighting. Steward never added inside games to Lennox or Wladimir after devastating defeats, he just taught them how to avoid fighting on the inside. Tbe biggest difference with Khan will be that Amir will have to implement Steward's tactics without having near the physical strength in comparison to his opposition as Lennox and Wlad have had; unlike them, Khan is usually the physically weaker fighter.

Steward will teach him how to effectively use his size, length, and speed; Emanuel might be his best option.

He's already did it once with his previous trainers who trained him to a silver medal in the Olympics. After Prescott, he dumped his old trainers who trained him since he was a kid and started with Roach. And if he gets ko'd by someone under Steward, he'll probably do the same. It's never his fault that he gets ko'd

There is not much weak opposition at 140. I don't see Khan fighting some un-ranked nobody at this point in his career. I think he has too much pride and confidence for that.

Wait. Khan has been saying for the last four years he is unbeatable under Roach. He said the best thing his life was go to Roach. Even after Peterson gave him a beating. But now, after he got sparked out, it's Roaches fault?

This guy needs a slap in the face.

Been saying the same thing since right after he got KTFO by Garcia.

Steward can teach Khan how avoid getting into trouble and then what to do if/when he does get in trouble.

Thing is: Are his habits too strong? Will Khan learn or is his ego too much tied up in what he already knows and what he has already accomplished?

If AK can truly go back to the drawing board, we'll probably piss and moan about the result, but he'll stay in the big leagues longer.

Steward may help Khan if you take into consideration what Steward has done with Klitschko, but it's difficult to imagine Khan taking that kind of 360 degree stylistic transformation. I personally would not want to see a fighter as dynamic as Khan fight in a jab and grab manner. Also, let's not forget that Steward has failed so far in assisting Andy Lee in his development, and Lee was very highly touted. Steward seemed to want to do similar things with Lee that he had done with Wlad, and as a result Lee has appeared to be a fighter stuck in between gears in recent bouts. Khan definitely needs defensive improvement though if he is to continue to fight at a world class level. I think a move to 147 may help him take a better shot.

Khan was probably told a million times to not stand in the pocket with hands down. Yet he still blames Freddie. A teacher can not take blame for everything.

He's already said so much out in the open without being sure, that he can't be helping his relationship with Freddie and Freddie's people.

He'd already said I thought - that he'd be working also with ****m.

So why now enter a 3rd into the mix of Manny, is Manny now a better choice than both of them?

Stop playing trainers off against each other, be a big boy and just make a decision Amir.
