So in other words, Canelo wants more things given to him instead of fighting guys he's supposed to. I hope Mayweather and Cotto make him go through numerous Eliminators before he gets either fight.

If you give props to Guerrero for moving up in weight and beating a tough guy, I agree.

That said, its kind of hard to get mad at people who point out Guerrero only was able to climb 2 weight classes and get this fight because he is with GBP.

If he isn't with GBP, ghost has no chance to get into this position.

Not gonna happen. The business of boxing shows it's ugly head again. It's not what you know, it's who promotes you.

The fact is that ginger is a 154 lb fighter who got to the top of the division by beat 147-140-135 lb fighters because his promoter is currently 1 of the 2 most powerful in boxing.

Well, like everybody else, you know Guerrero has been fiending for that big fight with Mayweather or Pacquiao. With those two only having a few fights left in them he rushed straight to 147 hoping for that one fight. It was a risky move especially after a long layoff. I thought it was greedy cause he's just thinking about that big fight. And we haven't seen what has happened this year with fighters who been thinking or getting ahead of themselves. Right now Canelo is doing the same, thinking/talking about Cotto or Mayweather when he still has to get past Lopez first. I'm hoping for an upset here and wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if it happened.

Got which fight?? The jump in weight against an undefeated #1 contender to Floyd's belt?? Yes it is.

Are you comparing this to ginger fighting Floyd or Cotto by beating guys 1, 2 & 3 divisions lower than him though??

I understand that the Ghost wants Floyd. But he did go about it the right way. He did jump 2 weight classes & beat the #1 contender to Floyd's belt. Therefore putting himself in that spot if Floyd chooses. That was a bold, dangerous move on golden boys part. Far different from the protecting ginger has received to this point of his career.

You can't really compare Guerrero vs Aydin fight to Canelo vs Mayweather/Cotto since Canelo hasnt done **** to fight neither guy. Now you or others may say Guerrero didnt do **** to deserve a shot at the #1 contender but he was willing to take the risk while they said others werent willing to fight him (Aydin). Whether that's true or not that's another story.
