Its the same thing, IMO. GBP got Guerrero a fight at 147, a weight I believe he never fought at, agaisnt the #1 contender, in an HBO main event. They may get Canelo a ppv floyd fight. It can be argued rather easily that niether Canelo or Ghost "earned" or "deserve" their respective fights.

Floyd will run from canelo and he'll never get a floyd fight. As floyd will say you have to beat this guy and that guy and look good before you can qualify to fight me.
Invariably, Canelo will evenutually lose and then Floyd will say the fight is off now, just like what happened to khan and Garcia, khan is off the radar for now.

FLoyd dont fight, therefore dont lose. If floyd did fight, he would lose, then Canelo could say "no, Floyd you arent good enough to fight me, beat some decent people before coming back to me"

Well it sure isn't the same in mine.

Golden boy protects ginger, 1 fight against anyone worthwhile in his weight class in over what, 3-4 years?? His title & all their defenses being against men 1,2 & 3 weight classes below him??

As opposed to the Ghost having surgery, sitting out a year & a half & coming up to challenge the #1 contender to Floyd's strap. It seems like golden boy threw him off the deep end & it was up to the Ghost to either sink or swim.

Whether that's true or not that's another story.
I respect your points but Guerrero doesn't get this opportunity if he isn't with GBP. Canelo isn't discussed for floyd ppv if he isn't with GBP.

It doesn't matter how compelling Guerrero's story is nor if we like him or if we hate Canelo. In each case GBP will have successfully used its muscle to get their fighter a fight they didn't earn or deserve.

GBP is turning like the WBC. They're doing all types of dirty stuff right in front of our noses and don't care about it. They're protecting the Ginger blatantly while they treat guys like Lara like **** and throw Guerrero in there in a very tough fight. In the end it worked out and its what he wanted but still. Why they dont take these risks with Canelo?

If your argument is a double homicide is worse than a single homicide, well yes technically it is if you look at it from a victims perspective.

What GBP did for both is the same thing, its just Ghost and Ginger are 2 different levels of fighter, so it looks different. GBP is helping its top star in Canelo. GBP is helping its 2nd tier star in Guerrero.

I just can't understand why GB keeps looking for big names out there when Cotto's available .Watch Canelo actually take the fight in 2015.It makes business sense to go with a Cotto fight.Huge event, rivalry and it gives Cotto a chance to strap that corrupted green belt around a rightful owner. The last time a PR held a wbc belt was Felix Trinidad so this fight to me could end up being FOTY with all the drama behind it.All Alvarez has to do is sign that dotted line.

Saw your post in the thread bumped from 2007. For 5 years your sole purpose on NSB is to hate on floyd. What kind of loser spends that long hating on a man on the internet?
