you don't have to go that far back

you just have to look at the Mormeck fight

Wach is slow, but he has power so when he does land his opponents get hurt. He's 1" taller than Wlad and has 3" longer arms.

Wladimir should outbox him easily enough, but there will be a real chance of Mariusz landing something big.
when Moorer picked up Wach to train him, he said Wach was an ABSOLUTE MESS

But, the main heavyweight prospect I have my eye on at the moment, is someone who's flown under the radar and seems to be avoided, he's big, a southpaw, has very fast hands, has good power, and is probably one of the best combination punchers among the "super" heavyweights, and that's the Cuban Luis Ortiz. This guy is very good. And the only downfall is that he's already 33 at 16-0 (13KO's). But nonetheless, he's very good IMO. He had a very long, and solid amateur career. He's gotten little to no attention from the media, and has only had one televised fight I believe, and one lives treamed fight. If you haven't already seen him Cliff, I'd check him out.
Fields? McBride? You're basically saying he has improved at working the heavy bag (and I'm not sure Fields qualifies as even that). I'll check out Ortiz. If he defects and doesn't turn into a sloth (Solis), might be worth something in the pros.

The optimist in me hopes that Wach's size makes Wlad uncomfortable. He can't hold and lean down on him, for one thing. Wach needs to push Wlad around, jab the hell out of him with his 82" reach, get Wlad moving backwards. I don't know if Wach has the firepower. So many big guys struggle to throw basic combinations.

Wlad would be the smaller guy for once, this is interesting.

Wlad wins by late KO or wide UD. . .

wach is big but do you really think he is ready? he has the WBC international & WBC baltic regional belts giving him #4 WBC but he is not rated in any other top 10 because he hasn't beaten anyone yet. he has wins over gavern & tye fields but those are C+ fighters. he should take a few more fights before he goes for a title. he needs to fight a B level guy at least. he should fight michael grant, fres oquendo, kingpin, mccall, chisora, austin or monte barrett. he needs some experience vs better competition. i don't think beating tye fields or gavern puts you in a position to have a chance of beating a klitschko. there are too many protected fighters & greedy promoters who are only looking out for themselves & not their fighter's best interests. the one guy who i think is being brought along properly is tyson fury. he's fought some solid journeymen(firtha, pajkic, mcdermott, rogan, maddalone) & has a win over dereck chisora. there in no rush with him but he is at least making progress. wach has many more fights but his resume is full of nobodies other then gavern & fields. mcbride is C level. wach will get schooled hard by wladimir. i would be shocked if it lasted 12 rounds.
