The company will be by the fighters for the fighters. It sounds like he's saying the fighters will make all the money leaving the promoters out. But if that's the case, wouldn't we see cherry picking at an all time high if all the money is going to the main fighter?
Then, how would you have 5 main events?
That's 10 main event fighters all expecting to see nothing but big bucks??
Even if all 10 fighters saw the big bucks, then how would 50 keep his business going and make a profit?
It's just not adding up right now.
Unless of course, the Golden Balls didn't take their usual around 25% cut and donated every single expense as a charity to poor Mayweather. Not to forget that the IRS would also have to forgo their taxes, as well as the State, Commission and local taxes. I wouldn't have space or time to detail all that promoters have to pay for. Maybe the PPV/cable companies didn't take their standard 50-54% either.......Last edited by edgarg; 07-30-2012, 01:30 AM.

If De La Hoya can start up his Golden Boy company, and having seen it become as successful as it has with Oscar not being the brightest person out there, Mayweather can definately do likewise. He certainly has the greed and unwavering love of money to become a big-time promoter for a long-time. Not so convinced about it being a venture to help the fighters, Mayweather loves money first and foremost, and that's what this will be about for him, a new stream of revenue for after he retires. Wish him luck, the more people putting money into boxing, the better it is

If you do the math he's lucky too walk away with $15 mill, which is just about what Cotto was rumoured to have made. If Mayweather got more than that, then Cotto got correspondingly less..........

TMT Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions will do tons of business together because of Richard Schaefer.
