Cotto was to be stripped if he did not fight Pacquiao. This was AFTER Manny's side specifically asked for 145

and if you didn't think that it was a big deal then you are going the opposite way of Manny himself

That's chicken**** of Pac and the team. But aren't titles usually in play in big fight catchweights? Just about all recent high profile ones had belts at stake.

How much of a role you think the cw played in the outcome?

Its still a big deal now!!! Pac calling out Cotto again at a CW shows how of a big deal Pac think weight draining those pounds of opponents is. Pac ended taking a ***** load of less money fighting Bradley over a CW. If anyone doesn't still believe Manny and his team feel a couple pounds is no big deal. think again. Don't forget Manny and his team put a value per pound at 10mil each!!! so please spare me, the its just a pound or too so its no big deal lol......

It was everything , look at the form of both going in , then the fight , and dont stop at that on face value , then look at what Pac has done since , and what Cotto has done since , then weigh in how much better the 154 version of Cotto was with a top trainer and coming of a huge mental win , dont look that he got beat , he got beat by the best , look at his strength speed endurance , and he was 10lbs lighter with Pac , come on ! off course the CW played a big part in the Pac fight , why do you think Team Pac said no CW no fight , they still saying that to Cotto today lol .

You don't think the catch weight for Ward - Dawson will play a big part in the fight?

Why does it play a big part for Cotto, but not Dawson?

TS is asking who is worse. Pacquaio asking Cotto to come down 2 pounds or Dawson calling out Ward at 168.

It plays a big part because we know it effected Cotto , weigh up the evidence , all off it ! and Cotto seems a pretty stand up kinda guy , you know he said he will never treat his body like that again for another fighter , he was not healthy and had weight issues , it stands out like dog balls !

With Dawson we dont know if it will effect him the same until the fight , if he looks flat with no snap , tires quickly then it will be weight that caused it , ig he looks sharp dont tire and physically strong then it didnt effect him and he was inside his weight threshold , its not about the numbers , its the effects the numbers cause and everybody is different in how much they can loose before it hurts them .

And the catchweight in the rematch was for the lineal belt not some vacant belt Cotto won vs Jennings. That's for those guys who have issues with guy cheating history, they must have a big problem with this.
