What's Worse: Pacquiao draining Cotto by 2 lbs, Or Ward draining Dawson by 7 lbs?

Man, I already explained this to you more than once, when will it sink in. "I'm never fighting at 150+ again". Do you think that was aimed at Cotto, honestly?

It's just common sense dude, taking punches from guys that much heavier is dangerous. Cotto is one thing, a lot of real 154s weigh in 170+. If he went up to fight Cotto only and went back down, you know what we'd be hearing? Pac is a pu55y, won't fight Sergio or Lara or Andrade or Wolak. You don't believe me, never heard that talking point? Paging Frank Ducketts...

And I could see him going back on his word for a real huge fight, say Floyd or Canelo, not used up Cotto

      My thing is this.

Even if Cotto said that the weight didn't bother him...which many don't fully believe......why negotiate a fight with the champion at 145 for his title?

If Pacquiaos fans are going to tell us that 35 year old Dlh, who last fought at ww 8 years prior to fighting Pac was dangerous, then Pacquiaos fans really must've thought that Cotto was very dangerous at 147 lbs because Pacquiaos people negotiated for the fight to first be at what 142 or 143lbs(Knowing Cotto suffered making 140 before moving up to 147) before 145 lbs was settled upon...and YOU'RE NOT EVEN THE CHAMP.

Great management because they knew Cotto wanted a payday.

The intent was mostly to even the playing field, and it was to drain Cotto a bit.

Well he is a Paul Williams fan isn't he? That's pretty obvious there and Williams asked for a bitch ass catch weight too and he tried to justify that when it happened.

My favorite boxer DLH did a bitch move too when he did it to Hopkins. I just dislike catch weights and **** Ward is pulling on Dawson. Reminds me what Leonard did to that one dude at LHW.

He absolutely was super dangerous for Pac with what we knew at the time, are you kidding? Pac was probably a 10-1 underdog just 12 months before. Pac did a lot to swing the odds in those 12 months, barely taking a punch along the way. In fact he'd hardly taken a punch above 130, why should he have been confident in his chin vs a hard hitting world class welter. He surpasssed the expectations on that count.

Yeah, he's a Paul Williams fan.

But he's not a Mayweather fan. Quite drastically far from it, actually.

You seem to accuse or presume a lot of people of being fans of certain fighters for some reason.

Either way he's displaying double standards by approving Williams' catch weight and not others. That happens a lot around here with other fanboys as well.

Dawson offered to come down. Ward never made demands, or at least publicly. Cotto tried to get to certain provisions made once he agreed to the CW, like not fighting for the title or not paying his sanctioning fee, but it fell on deaf ears. Pacquiao is the cash cow, simple as that.

They will never get your point nor they try to read your post at all. Prior to Pac fight DLH fought at 150 to prepare himself against any possible opponents at 147 for business reason. Its not like DLH move down 2 weight divisions overweight to fight Pac also.

I voted they are about the same for a few reasons.

                    1. Draining anyone is bad, no matter what the amount is
                    2. 7lbs is a lot more than 2lbs, but Dawson agreed to it while Cotto primarily did not, until later (Arum most likely convinced him)

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths Pacquiao fans will go to keep Pacquiao flawless, lmao!
