not only that but Dawson has to fight him in his back yard
Dawson is the one who said he wanted to fight at 168..Just like Oscar,so hey let em hang themselves

TS should be comparing Pacquiao to Dawson, not to Ward. Pacquiao and Dawson both dictated the weights. Ward and Cotto just accepted.

      Difference:

Pacquiao wanted to get his toe wet, and ease into the water before swimming with the big sharks at a higher division.

Dawson dove down head first like a man, the old school way... no stipulations, a full weight class down, and fighting a champion who's last fight was a career-defining VICTORY, and not a loss or tuneup.

Manny sits ringside in MSG and watches Cotto get chased around the building by Clottey and is rewarded a SD that could've gone either way and requests to fight the champ at 143 pounds....the fight was made at 145 pounds...2 pounds BELOW the NORM

Chad sat at the crib while Ward looked BRILLIANT against Froch....outclassing him for a clear UD and then requests to fight the champ at 168 pounds....the NORM for the champ

the title holder didn't have to compromise anything with Ward-Dawson....but in Cotto-Pac....the champ had to make the sacrafices to make the fight...big differece my dudes!!

Huge props to Dawson if he pulls it off, but he dictated the weight? As in, 168 was his preference? How about fighting in Oakland, he dictate that?

Yep, he wants the fight no matter what. He's not calling the shots, so he can't be dictating ****. It's like if Sergio fought FMJ or Pac at 150 as he proposed, I wouldn't say he was dictating the terms.

Actually yeah... according to his trainer John Scully, Chad's been wanting to come down for years because he thought he'd be even MORE effective fighting at super middleweight.

As far as Oakland, he is fighting for Andre's belts, and not putting his own in danger. So why not? Andre draws better in his hometown than Dawson does anywhere else anyway, so that's all money in Dawson's pocket.

I mean it's more than triple the amount of weight that Cotto had to drain.. Surely there should be more outrage at Ward for this?
Dawson is losing weight coming to the belt.

Pac made the belt lose weight.

2 different things and you know it.
