      well, let me see. fought and beat the best competition, check. fastest hands, check. fastest feet, check. fastest reflexes, check. fastest EVERYTHING, check. top-notch stamina, check. shocked the world twice, check. best self-promoter, check. backed up what he said, check. broke conventional rules twice, and still succeded, check. unbeatable in his prime, check. then i would say yeah.

            Ali is in a lot of ways, too, by a lot of people. He's one of the greatest fighters ever, sure, but his rank is debatable.

            It's impossible to say who's the "best" over every division, but it is possible to say that Ali is NOT the best ever in any division. He'd have a hard time against a lot of guys, like Joe Louis, for example..

              Its impossible to say who was the best.

              There are so many fighters most of us have never seen fight, who were incredible.

              I personally think Ali wouldnt have got away with his hands held low style against many great fighters if they were fighting at the same weight.
