Not always. Tell me it wasn't exciting when floyd was clinging desperately to Mosley's arm like a lil girl to her daddy to avoid getting KTFO and have his whole career pissed away!!!

It wasn't in my opinion. What was exciting was the possibility that he might actually be stopped. It would have been even more exciting had he chose to go to war instead though.

I like to see the seek & destroy guys fight the technical cats.

Lets put this another way. If a fighter in ANY division has significant advantages in skill, do you want to see him not use All those and be content to wait a fighter out, or do you want to see him use those skills to completely overrun his opponent?

depends. if a fighter is in trouble only a fool would hold it against him if he clinched. if hes clinching without being hurt its another scenario though. thats not boxing, youre right about that. boxing is controling your oponent with your skills and clinching isnt a skill, a little clinching is part of the sport but khan-peterson type clinching is too much.

i dont get mad at hopkins though bcuz of his age. he cant fight at the pace of these young guns anymore, he cant box consistently for 12 rounds so he has to clinch a bit to keep up. he gets away with it bcuz its so incredible to see him fighting at his age, bcuz theres always that question can he still do it? that adds excitement to the fight even if it isnt really a good fight, nah mean?

using a jab isnt boring, in fact a fighter who has truly mastered the many ways to use the jab is a joy to watch. thats boxing at its best, the kind of old school craft you rarely see anymore.

I'd say the latter. For example, IMO floyd/gatti was 1 million gazillion times more entertaining then floyd/JMM. and floyd/hatton was better once floyd stepped it up.

i disagree. that would be ignorant which means low quality and not exciting.

he should go for the finish for sure. if you have a significant advantage in skill you can get your man out of there without taking risks so theres no reason not to. dont be reckless but apply your skills and show your superiority.
