He showed against Victor Ortiz, who comes into the ring over 160lbs and might be even bigger physically than Canelo, that he can handle the move up in weight. He is a live opponent and i'm curious to see how Alvarez copes with someone who is young and can box and fight very well. People are being very critical of Canelo, for the most part because they don't like him. Yeah he hasn't really earned being champion but hell, the vast majority of boxers in this era don't earn it like the fighters of old did in the past. So let's just appreciate him for what he is and that's a very good and exciting boxer. Hopefully he will win and then we can see him and Floyd face off in December. He's the biggest challenge out there for Floyd in my eyes. When your referring to realistic bouts that are feasible.
You must be De La Hoya or Ginger girlfriend there's no other explanation for your post, he is a 140 pounds boxer fighting a guy that will have almost 20 lbs over him the night of the fight, I have to remind you that it is a JMW bout not a heavyweight one, I have to point to you that Ortiz is crap and a quitter that is the only reason he was chosen to fight the Red Hype, we are being very critical of Canelo because he hasn't done $h1t to validate his Belt and for ducking the whole freaking division, and some Champs have earned their Belt you just have to look whom they defeated for it, if it a vacant crap and they haven't defend it against the #1 contender then you know he is a paper champ, but if he won it from a Champ then he has earn it, another thing he hasn't earn is a shot at Fraud, why? All the above and if that fight happens then you know ODLH and Cia are cashing in, Fraud will punish the kid for twelve rounds and will just dress up without taking a shower go to a party and nobody will notice he was in a fight.

And why not Vanes or Lara? The fight is going to be free anyway and the Red Hype will get pay no matter what, I heard that Lara offer himself for a third the Kirkland money so they would have save 400K fighting Lara.

What you want to c is Canelo with the advantage all the time, was canelo proven when he won the belt, I'm sorry when they gave him the "belt"? Vanes is ready and has been for some time now, Lara will whoop Red Hype a$$ so bad that Sulaiman himself will jump in the ring to stop the fight, if you are a real fan of boxing you will clamor for those fights and will not be trying to justified Canelo for fighting a guy two weights division below, you know who could and did jump two weight classes and won? Duran but Lopez ain't Roberto, Armstrong held three different belts at the same time, Lopez ain't Armstrong either, if you have to defend your idol against so many fans and with good reason because the proof is there, then my guess is that he doesn't deserve such a devoted fan, even in Mexico they are all over his A$$.

i remember when i first saw guerrero at 122 and thought that he was the biggest 122lber i'd ever seen. i love his skillset and heart.

this is a great fight and there's a possibility robert come in the bigger man.

Not really canelos fault he was supposed to fight Kirkland/Williams/Ortiz which means canelo is looking to fight the best it's just the other guys are getting injured or getting beat od like to see him fight lara

Are you this dumb or just trolling?

Trying to justify Canelo fighting yet another lil guy with The Ghost moving up to WW?

Is Canelo going up two weightclasses to face Froch?

Bunch of hypocrit fan boys will hate on the kid. He was going to have a big fight 3 different times and all went down the drain due to things out of his control.
