I agree. It's going to be a better and more interesting fight than people seem to think. Lopez might have fought at 140 most of his career but his body is that of a natural welterweight and a big welterweight too. He showed against Victor Ortiz, who comes into the ring over 160lbs and might be even bigger physically than Canelo, that he can handle the move up in weight. He is a live opponent and i'm curious to see how Alvarez copes with someone who is young and can box and fight very well. People are being very critical of Canelo, for the most part because they don't like him. Yeah he hasn't really earned being champion but hell, the vast majority of boxers in this era don't earn it like the fighters of old did in the past. So let's just appreciate him for what he is and that's a very good and exciting boxer. Hopefully he will win and then we can see him and Floyd face off in December. He's the biggest challenge out there for Floyd in my eyes. When your referring to realistic bouts that are feasible.

Not bad fight for Canelo....if he was a Jr Welterweight.

Lopez isn't a bum, but there's a few other fighters IMO that are more deserving of a shot at Alvarez that are actual Jr Middleweights.

hate the hate this kid recieves go back and you'll see he was scheduled to fight kirkland but he pulled out cause he wanted more $, then came williams whom had his terrible accident, then came victor ortiz who got his jaw knocked off him

Has someone actually called the 140lb contender a bum?? No one can call the guy a bum, he's just fighting the protected ginger 2 weight classes above his best because golden boy & ginger are ducking their entire division.
