it's great to see him getting around and being appreciated, but that's going to be hard to look at for a while.

I know what you mean, but I was actually surprised at how much he looks the same. If I didn't notice the wheel of the wheelchair on the right side of the pic I wouldn't have known if this was before or after the accident. He looks good.

He looks very good, and hopefully his spirits remain high whether or not he makes anymore real progress from here.

anyone find this to be a publicity stunt by Williams? this seems like a desperate attempt by him to stay relevant in the sport of boxing. i mean i feel for the guy don't get me wrong, but he got KOed by Martinez and lossed to Lara

i did read the thread. again, I feel Williams is trying to take the spotlight away from the fights and trying to stay relevant. I mean, why is he saying he will be at both fights when that's not possible

More like he's just caught in the middle between two good fights, just like any of us. The only difference between us and Paul Williams is that he's targeted by the media and we are not. He's not making a spectacle over which fight to choose, he's just pondering over which fight to watch, like all of us.

As for desperate attempt to stay relevant, Paul Williams has largely stayed out of the media. Anything that has been said or done is through his manager. Sure, Paul could have held press conferences or interviews, or even guest starred as a ring side announcer, and cashed in on the surge of respect and pity for him, but he hasn't. He's stayed low key for the most part, I think.

Where did he say that? Find a direct quote for me of Paul Williams saying he'll be at both fights. Canelo and Martinez both said Paul Williams was going to be at their own fights respectively, but Paul never said anything about being at both fights.

Who cares if its a publicity stunt or who PWills got koed by? I don't care what anyone says, I have always been a Punisher fan and always will be. He would fight anyone, anywhere at anytime from 147-160, period. Never made excuses and never backed down. His response was "hey man well lets do it again then". Sure he got KOed by Sergio and won a disputed decision to Lara, but hell man, he is not the judge? He comes to fight and never backs down and brings it 100%, and I respect that. It sucks he is paralyzed but the attitude he has is amazing, he is a true fighter at heart. No one on here wants to hear anyone disrespect PWills.
