Comments Thread For: Paul Williams Finds Himself in The Sept. 15th Snafu

Former champion Paul "The Punisher" Williams, despite his tragic motorcycle accident, is still very much in high demand. The accident, which occurred in May of this year, left Williams paralyzed from the waist down.

At the time of the accident, Williams was scheduled to challenge WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

After two more opponents fell through, Alvarez reached an agreement to defend his title against Josesito Lopez. Showtime will televise the fight.

Glad to hear Williams is in such high spirits...also glad he is going to attend the fights......he'll be a huge star there, regardless of which fight he goes too.

I have a week off mid September. Was thinking of going up to Atlanta to see Paul. Glad I read this article....

I just feel certain that he'll be walking sooner or later. My Mother had a bad car accident when she was in her mid 40's & they told her she'd never walk again.

It's her 75th birthday on July 24th & she's not only walking but also caring for my old man who can't walk too far yet played football (soccer) till his mid 40's.

                  There's always hope
