In the bold, plenty of people I've spoken to recognize his talent and many talk about how he's underachieved. This has always been constant with most boxing fans too. Guzman is an all around great fighter, as avoided as he's been he also has himself to blame for most of his problems. Guzman is in the right track right now and personally, I think he's good enough to beat anyone at 140. One would have to be a fool to think a fighter of Guzman's talent is gonna be kept locked away.
JMM is at the end of his time and i would bet money on him ud guzman right now. JMM weakness a mover??? wth did you think Pac is? JMM is a great because he adapts in the ring on the spot. Not as good as mayweather, but every single fighter to face him says the same thing, a really smart knowledgable fighter in the ring. I aint saying he cant beat cano, im saying he cant beat JMM. just because I like jmm as a fighter doesnt mean I'm a die hard for him... I thought he would get KO'd in under 7 against Pac and he did a hell of a job in there. besides , when was the last time he had a decent win against a decent fighter in a legit fight? So When was he Somebody in a division?? 4-5 years ago

How about Funeka, he handled him fine without the 9lb handicap, and even with it Guzman couldn't get rid of him.

As for where they are right now...well, that's hard to tell but let's see what Guzman does next.
When was this, at 122? Cause even at 130 he was running out the clock on Soto

Dude, let's be serious here! The reason why Guzman ran out the clock is cause he knew he had the fight in the bag. You people will never give credit where credit is due. I was never a fan of Mayweather but after he proved himself I didn't hate...I gave the credit due to him....period!

I agree with you here...only thing is we all know that Guzman's nose was busted and bleeding like crazy in the third round and from what I heard it's even hard to breath when something like that happens. Now, it's part of boxing and you can't use that as an excuse but Guzman showed heart and I am pretty damn sure had that not happened he would have won that fight easily...but he did loose that fight I can't lie.

I would not say just a mover and don't put Pac in that category because Pac most of the time would jump in there a little out of control and JMM would take advantage of that. We are talking about a mover like Mayweather and we all know how that turned out even with weight controversy and all. Guzman is not just a mover he is very good defensive wise even when you have him on the ropes. Let's be realistic here. I am not going to say that Guzman's style is exactly the same as Mayweather's but it's definitely comparable to an extent. It's not about being a mover but a very good defensive fighter which Guzman always has been.

It's all good man, I wish him luck. But unlike Floyd, Guzman hasn't earned much credit above 130, and spent just about all he had earner by repeatedly missing weight. Funeka 2 was a disgrace
