I really see this as a real motivation for Guzman! I am willing to bet this guy will be really ripped for this fight because he knows this will put him back in the limelight. If he was able to get in shape for these fights that really meant nothing...I can only imagine how pumped he must really be right now. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he is in the gym right now. He knows he can't mess this up or it will definitely be the end of him! Let's see what he brings.

I agree with you, Guzman cannot blow his chance to get back to the top and specially not let down the fans because besides skills, fans determines your net worth so Guzman is more motivated and focus than he has ever been in his entire career! I live in New York and I went to the former gym he used to train and trust me what you see in TV is just a small portion of the abilities he possess !!! Guzman will win another major world tittle! and I hope he gets to fight a top 5 in the division so we can read another ignorant comment with the excuses.....

In the bold, plenty of people I've spoken to recognize his talent and many talk about how he's underachieved. This has always been constant with most boxing fans too. Guzman is an all around great fighter, as avoided as he's been he also has himself to blame for most of his problems. Guzman is in the right track right now and personally, I think he's good enough to beat anyone at 140. One would have to be a fool to think a fighter of Guzman's talent is gonna be kept locked away.
