That's a very recent fight after he'd already established himself as a P4P best. I'm referring to his early career- like the stage Broner is at.

To my knowledge, that never happened.

i never said anything about early in his career. the only fight he came over the contracted limit was marquez.

I almost want to bet that he won't make it, and the fight will still go on when Broner basically says, "The f*** you going to do about it?"

Thanks man, he probably just missed it.

The point I'm trying to make is people draw comparisons between Adrian and Floyd basically because they're **** talking, quick black American fighters.

In reality, I think this further distances the two as very different creatures. When Floyd was on the come-up, back at 130, etc. He never would have come in overweight. He's a consummate professional.

Marquez fight, which is recent, withstanding, he's a very dedicated athlete who usually comes in LIGHTER than he needs to, like in the De la Hoya fight.

oh well i didnt get that. probably because u said "floyd never did that, especilally early in his career".

                bad wording.

Right, I hear you - but I specifically was talking about Floyd when he was on the come up like Broner now is. I think it's a revealing stage of the fighter's career.

Same day weigh ins would alleviate this frequently occurring problem.

one advantage shouldn't supersede another...seeking an advantage outside the rules of boxing is cheating - they should be fined an equal percentage or fined and stipulated...stipulations decided by 1 supervisory commission based on the illegal advantage sought and committed...as you can see, there's a lot boxing can do to equalize/moderate the sport...this conversation would find its way into a fantasy thread, if not already.
