I'm confused, what does Pound for Pound REALLY mean? Does it mean the most skilled fighters at any division? The most successful at any division ?Or does it mean the best? I think some people use it as a popularity contest honestly. I mean if it's most successful at a division than Carl Froch has to be on everyones list right? Or if it's most skilled, Mayweather is one of the most skilled fighters EVER. So can you guys explain to me what YOU consider Pound for Pound means?
What does P4P REALLY mean?

i always thought it meant : being able to move up in weight and being able to compete with people bigger, and if you were the same size youd beat them, that what i thought pound for pound meantComment

it means "popularity contest" or "flavor of the month"
but it's supposed to mean "best ass kicker in their weight class"Comment

when someone says 'p4p so and so is the hardest hitter in boxing', its basically a way of negating size since obviously, noone hits harder than the heavyweights
Julian Jackson doesn't hit has hard has Mike Tyson but on a p4p scale, you can make an argument for the Hawk
as for the p4p ratings, that's based on skill and accomplishmentsComment

Pfp means 1 thing. What fighter would be the best fighter in the world regardless of weight. The pfp #1 fighter means that that fight if he were to weight the same as any other fighter would beat the comparing fighter, regardless.
For example, if B-hop & Pacman were to be the same size, (pfp), I believe B-Hop would school him.Comment

if they were the same size and fought, Hopkins would fake a shoulder injury faster than he did against DawsonComment
