Now he may get screwed over.

    That's the issue here.
Escobedo has been fighting at 130 in his last 3 fights, which I thought his management and him did to go another route with his career. I didn't think he specifically came down to challenge for the WBO title.

Lol I'm sure the people at hbo knew he wouldn't make wait before the weight in. Plus Broner is the self proclaimed "Mr HBO", the wont be mad at him.

However, I think at this early stage of his career he should be letting his boxing do the promoting for him. The big guns in the sport over the last 10 or so years have all made themselves stars in the sport through their boxing first. Even his idol Floyd, he was the P4P fighter in the world before becoming a big talker.

          We'll see what happens though.
He's 22 and the world knew him as a talented **** talker 3 hours ago. Now the world sees him as a **** talker who wont even try and honor a weight agreement.

Of course he came down to try to win a title.

All boxers try to win titles unless they are just really rich like Pac and May.

I get your reasoning that Broner is a big fight, I do, but a title is what boxers want.

As how this situation almost always plays out, I'm betting Escobedo goes ahead with the fight as it would hurt the pocket book to walk away (Guzman Funeka II anyone?).

I am a huge Broner fan, but **** that ****. Escobedo should walk.

will the fight go on? I heard Escebedo Manager complaining and threatening to Pull Out of the fight and rightfully so I guess, not sure what is going on or if Broner will try to make weight or is given a deadline to try and drop that 3.5 lbs

it waters down the match up BIG TIME, missing weight 1 time I don't have a problem with it, especially since this is his last fight at 130 but if this happens again then it will be a major problem, don't end up like Joan Guzman!

No, I knew he came down to eventually challenge for a title, but the way you said that at first, I took it like you meant he SPECIFICALLY came down to challenge for the WBO title. Like, he had been fighting at lightweight up until this fight, and he decided to come down and challenge Broner, that's what I thought you meant. Sorry, I misinterpreted what you said.

You are the one informing us about these so called "racist" statements somewhere is the evidence to support your accusations?
