......well how did he land the power shot if he didn't time the throw? Boxing IS timing man.....you sound lost. Garcia from the first round was timing Khan pretty easily......

Although he has stayed off the canvas he has been stunned a lot and on shaky legs on numerous occasions from big shots. Floyd is one of the best finishers n the game.

I think the handspeed differential was significant. If Cotto had faster hands he could have given Floyd many more problems in the centre of the ring. I think Cotto won one round on the outside, Zab did better, mostly because he was beating Mayweather to the punch.
It played a factor but it was hardly the determining factor. If Cotto had faster hands he wouldn't have given Mayweather more problems in the centre of the ring as Mayweather limited his output with defense and distance, faster hands don't make up for that. Basing your reasoning on the Zab Judah fight is also flawed, he whooped Zab Judah's ass and Zab having success in the earlier rounds was more to do with him setting traps than him having superior hand speed which is why Mayweather spanked his ass the moment he figured him out.

I don't recall that. He shook a tired Cotto in the 12th but again that's accummulation.

Maybe he has underrated punching power but when has Mayweather ever rocked a fighter early on in a fight? it's always in the second half of a fight, if at all.
So what if Cotto was tired? Did I overlook the part where Khan was a stamina beast?

Against who? Garcia's punching power stopped Khan, not his timing.
His timing was giving Khan problems or did you miss the punches that were tagging Khan before he went down like an oak tree?

Which fighters are these? The only fighter I can think of is Maidana who was too tired to get the job done when he had Khan on shaky legs.

Possibly later in the rounds or he'd win by points

Floyd doesnt take risks...Garcia took a risk, Floyd never have put himself in that position where he'd take a punch to land a punch

even before the fight, i said that garcia's timing was his ace in the hole in this fight. and thats exactly how he used it. i dunno why ppl think it was punching power. smh. both maidana and judah are harder punchers than garcia but neither of them had the ability to get khan out of these. there reason the shot was so perfect was because garcia had khan timed. it was as clear as day. theres nothing worse that can happen to a boxer than to get timed in the ring. ask floyd, its one of his top assets. he times most of the fighters he fights. he'd have timed khan too.

What do you mean if I believe that LOL. And yes pretty much everybody has issues with superior handspeed, at least for a little while before adjusting.
