I wouldn't kick Golden Boy for facing Josesito on this date if not the fact that they fought welterweight Hatton on a catchweight to win 154 pound title, then defended it against C level Rhodes, picked Cintron over Molina who schooled him, took on another 2 welterweights in Gomez and Mosley. IT's not like he was taking good fights and now just took on one easier smaller guy. It's like that all way since they won their title. This clown is not even taking on best welterweights being junior middleweight champion . What a shame...

Ya hes being protected but nobody thinks Canelo is one of the top JMWs. Hes behind Mayweather, Cotto, and Serg if he ever drops back down. If you ask me everybody else in the JMW division is being protected. Laras still fighting tomato cans. Kirkland turned down the fight, I know hes hurt but he turned it down nevertheless. Molinas good but hes not box office.

Whats being overlooked is why is GBP doing Lopez like this? Ortiz is out so why not market Lopez as the next big mexican american? Hes bi-liigual, has skills, a real cali mexican (Ortiz is from Kansas faking it as a Cali-mexican). Just beat down Ortiz in a sold out Staples Center. Lopez should really be challenging anybody at 140-147.

Nobody wants to Order top prank ppvs and I wonder how many of you will order this crappy card. Although Chavez v Martinez is the better main event by far I will not order the fight and would prefer to stream the main event and just watch the better card on showtime

I meant it when I said I would never buy a Top Rank pac ppv. That said Martinez Chavez is just to good. I hope to God Martinez kos Chavez because Arum will pay off the judges for Chavez to win no matter what kind of domination Martinez puts on Chavez.

Man I bet the casual fan will soak this koolaid right up. But golden boy can't fool the real boxing fan. There is only 1 reason this card isn't ppv. That's because no one will pay for ginger-Lopez, period.

Ill give you Lara but the smart move is waiting on him. That would be a bigger fight down the road. As far as those other dudes you cant go up against Chavez/Martinez with those stiffs. Lopez can match up with Canelo skillwise. Hes small but Canelos not the type of pressure fighter to exploit that mimatch. Hes banking on Lopez not being able to hang blow for blow. If Lopez can turn it into a technical fight he can compete with Canelo.

Actually, Lopez isn't that small. He is noticeably taller than Canelo In the face-off picture , and he says he walks around at 160.
