Donaire's last guy was much better. It's one thing to call out one elite fighter and another thing to be willing to call out and fight other elite fighters. Rigo hasn't called out Mares or anyone other than his Sun God Donaire.

Good luck, Marroquin. You're gonna need it.

I was meant to put a respectable journeyman & tbh I didn't think he had quite that many losses unless there is another Mexican boxer with the same name.

Marroquin isn't anywhere near a shot like this. Rigo is going to hurt this kid bad.

Marroquin vs Arce is more like it

not saying Marroquin doesn't have a chance he could win. Rigondeaux doesn't throw much and IF he survives he could win on the scorecards.

so far the undercard is looking pretty weak

              Rigondeaux vs Marroquin
              Macklin vs Alcine

what mexican gives 2 5hits about those fights

what Arum should do is have Rios vs Alvarado and Tyson Marquez vs Viloria on the undercard. mexicans could love it.

it sucks too because Canelo vs Lopez is such a joke.

no disrespect to Rigondeaux but the way he fights just isn't appealing to mexicans. Arum should know better

After this will be easy for Rigo to go with Floyd and the money team, no reason to stay with Bob.
No sense for this kid to go at this level, will be amazing if he can stay boxing for four rounds.

He's barely starting to get back on track and in no way, shape, or form is he ready for a grown man, and champion, like Rigo. Marroquin is a very young 22 years old; and while we do have other fighters who are that young and are ready for big step-ups (Broner, Alvarez, Morales when he was 21), I feel Roberto is not one of them. Every fighter matures differently; some mature younger than others. It doesn't mean they're not as good, just that they're a bit different. I think Roberto is the latter and will possibly be ready when he's about 24. I really do hope I'm wrong and he does well (and hopefully he doesn't get blown away)!
I feel the same way but I dont think he lost his way. He just lost against Leal in a BATTLE. There were high hopes for Marroquin and there still should be. I dont get why he is being offered to Rigo.

Rigo is one of my favorite fighters and Marroquin is a good young kid that just needs time.Well, may the better man win.
