He needs to fight Haye, and he should. Your last fight shouldn't be against a extremely low quality fighter like Charr, but against someone who actually could pose a serious threat like Haye. Too me, a fight between Haye and Vitali is a toss up, but I'd give the edge to Haye, and that's because of Haye's speed and reflexes, and the fact Vitali has slowed down a lot, his accuracy has dropped off, he's slower and his reflexes have depleted. And, although he has a good chin, with the kind of power Haye has, IF Haye catches him flush I could see a KO happening. And, I very well do believe Haye would catch him cleanly.
Haye hits very hard but Vitali can take his shots, he won't be like Chisora and take many shots he'd defend even great chins can only take so much. Vitali hits harder than Chisora too, I see Vitali winning against him

Yeah Haye talks like he put in a great performance against Chisora, imo he looked vulnerable at times against a fighter with limited power. If Vitali takes the fight he stands a good chance of stopping Haye whereas Haye has a puncher's chance.

Haye was impressive but I agree that if Vitali is still in or close to the form he was in before he'd beat him

Do you really think so? imo he looked very uncomfortable and vulnerable when hit, he really got on his bike and looked shaky, Chisora didn't have the power to finish him but Vitali does. The knockout was impressive, but the performance? I don't even think Adam Booth was impressed, he said Haye was getting hit too much.

I give Haye a puncher's chance. If he can draw Vitali into an exchange there's a chance he could land a knockout blow, but VK is well capable of that himself as well as sitting behind the jab like his brother.

I was going to say it would be better for boxing if Haye won, but then I remember his drama queen retirements and refusal to fight anyone that isn't called Klitschko.

Didn't look vulnerable once, unless you're counting a left hook that landed after the bell.

Wait but didnt Vitali or Boente told Haye to go fight Chisora when the post fight presser was going on at the end of the Vital/Chisora fight? I seem to remember all of them (Frank warren included) saying something close to that.

Well it depends on what your standards are for an impressive performance, I get you though. I do think Vitali and Haye could be an exciting fight

I don't dislike Vitali, he's actually on my favorite heavyweights since Lewis beat him and retired. But this is the second time I've clearly seen Vitali tell lies, or make a clear contradiction.

The first time was in the build up to the Vitali vs Chisora fight. Vitali told Chisora not to make excuses after the fight.. While Vitali himself made excuses after both the Byrd and Lewis fights... AND THEN made excuses HIMSELF after the Chisora fight! lol.. Damn, talk about being a hypocrite!
Thats what i thought too, I seem to remember boente saying this at the post fight presser.

I would love to see this fight, but I think Vitali will win his election and move to politics.
