YEP, what is not being talked about is the adjustment Danny Made early in the 3rd when he started coming from different angles and start attacking the body straight down the middle, that impressed me more then the KO, I am impressed with fighters who can learn form their mistakes in the ring and make the PROPER ADJUSTMENTS, he also became much more slicker in the 3rd and starting ducking underneath and slipping Khan punches and also a lot of those Combos people was going crazy over, Danny was catch most of them with his GLOVES

also impressed with his timing, he is patient and he waits for you to make a mistake the ****! While Danny may look slow at first glance, he is far from slow actually, he is just baiting you into think "OH HE IS SLOW I CAN BEAT HIM TO THE PUNCH" and then next thing you know your looking Khan doing the Chicken dance and stumbling all over the damn ring hahaha, I noticed that Danny look fans when the throws straights, he only look slow when he throws that Hook, but he is pretty damn accurate with that Hook tho lol it looks wild and slow but he lands with it

Good Young Fighter! Of Course he has his Flaws that could be taken advantage of by a very skilled fighter, but lucky for Danny it is really not many SKILLED FIGHTERS IN BOXING who are smart or good enough to make him pay for his Mistakes so he could have a good run at 140, him vs Mattysse would be very interesting, how he stays at 140 for awhile and just try to dominate and continue to improve, don't start calling out Mayweather and Pacquiao like everybody else do, just focus on being one of the face of the Next Generation!

Another thing I noticed about Poppa Garcia, his instructions between rounds are precise. He said the right things when his son was losing the 1st 2 rounds. Father trainers like Poppa Mosley & Tito didn't have a clue what to say when their sons were getting whooped.

Plus Poppa Garcia talked about his sons conditioning & working on his wind. I find that very interesting because most Puerto Rican fighters have serious stamina issues. I'd like to see his father branch out & train more fighters, the dude has good knowledge of the sport.

Danny made the correct adjustments and fought a great fight. He started catchign most of Khans punches in Round 2. I gave Garcia round 2.

Danny was starting to land beautiful body punches, straight rights down the middle. When Khan was hurt, Danny took his time and landed some great body shots.

He has a very high ring IQ and it looks like he has great stamina.

For some reason, people are talking about an epic asswhupping from Kahn until he got tagged, but other than the opening round, Garcia was putting the more serious hands on Kahn, which led to his downfall.

Kahn was blitzing Garcia with right hands in the first round, and by the time the second was there, Garcia nearly neutralized the right hand and was landing some mean counters.

Pop Garcia gave pretty good instructions and necessary motivation.

When Kahn was reeling, instead of going all Alfred Angulo on Kahn, Danny took his time, threw that overhand right on Kahn until he was finally finished.

This kid and his pop didn't win this by luck, there was some serious ring IQ being displayed that allowed Danny to adjust in-fight and in between rounds.

His dad is annoying as ****, but was prepared. Still happy at the outcome...me and some of my buddies rooting for Danny were ecstatic. Bring on JMM.
REAL TALK 101...but pops isn't annoying imo...he's what we call a oldhead in Philly...pops is a typical Philly oldhead...I love it!!

Fam, I know about them old heads, pop just a loose cannon and annoying to me. Maybe its because my mom took me and my sis out the hood and I have a different worldview, I don't know. But he's a clown to me outside of when he's working with his son, with that being said...

But when **** got real in the fight, pops buckled down and led his son to victory. It actually was pretty inspiring stuff.

Plus, I'm still not feeling the way he disrespected Morales

His adjustments to start going downstairs with bad intentions were the catalyst that changed the fight 100% He was having some success and once he did thats when Khan couldnt.

Great job by team Garcia. I would love to see him vs Mathysse.

I feel you...pops did go hard on the Legend....I understand where you coming from as far the seeing things differently....my passport is stamped up...I get around...I live in Europe and I had to learn quickly that this isn't the same as Philly.....so I kinda understand the differences in the ways ppl act and react to certain things....pops is a loose dude...real rap...but sometimes someone like that is needed on a team

In round 2, I thought: "look at the way he's bring up that left arm and turning a bit to take away that right Khan's been hitting him with. Whether he loses or not, I like this kid."

I don't think the commentators were consistent enough in giving him credit for how he was landing that looping counter right hand so flush even in the first round.

And, though I didn't mind Steward saying that he wasn't even looking when he threw that final left hook, Donaire wasn't either when he put all that power and leverage into the hook that disconnected Montiel. Khan, like Montiel, doesn't really move his head or change level when attacking so it was possible for Garcia to know exactly where it would be for that left hook.

My only problem is I don't think taking one or two punches to counter with one...even if it's a hard one, is a smart approach to counter-punching. Some more head movement and work on not "reaching" for his opponent's jab, which Roach pointed out he was doing AND he proceeded to do before the first knockdown, ironically, when help in avoid punches and stay in position to punch.
