Are you honestly saying a 41-year old boxer (who has been announcing his interest in going to politics for a long time) can't retire? Compared to Lewis, who was 36, and said he was in his prime and would fight for many more years? Seriously? And it's not even certain Vitali won't figt Haye.

For Lewis, the Klitschko fight was a reality-check. Vitali is feeling his age now, too, so why shouldn't he retire? Haye could have had this fight back in '09.

Still, i'd like to see them match-up.

The problem here is Vitali has put so much effort and energy into crying over Lennox's retirement, that he will make himself out to be a clown hypocrite if he ends his career with a legit HW calling him out. Vitali could be 50 years old, its a grave he dug for himself.

Vitali has accomplished nothing. His career has been about stealing a moral victory over an Old Lennox retiring. Thats IT. He has never been undisputed. He never avenged his first loss, he never won an olympic gold medal, he never beat the best HWs of his era. Its been all about Sosnoski, injury excuses and boo-hooing over Lennox. Thats Vitali's legacy in a nutshell.

Lewis was a lot younger then Vitali is now when he called it quits. Vitali and Lennox are only six years apart in age not ten. And I believe that Vitali giving Lewis a hell of fight carries way more weight then Haye beating a 15-3 fighter with no power that Vitali had already dominated does. So your attempt at some kind of perverted reverse psychology doesn't hold water.

I'd love to see Haye vs Vitali. I don't see either guy with a potential opponent that's more appealing than fighting each other.
