I told people this would happen months ago. I made a thread on Roach being the Walmart of boxing. Roach is a hollywood trainer in every sense of word. The only reason he even has a gym is because it was given to him by Micky Rourke who he was training for a movie at the time.

You cant have 30 Boxers and 20 MMA guys in your stable if you cant provide 1 on 1 training and support, its just not feasable with so many guys. This is what happens when you get greedy. Instead of having a few world class fighters and some amateur hopefull's he tried to have 20 all stars in boxing and 10 in mma.

There's a reason Steward and Bernstein only train a few fighters at a time, Nacho trains kids but his superstar fighters he has one or two at a time.... There's a reason why....

exactly. there are plenty of examples. like monzon, or tommy hearns, ali. these are the fighters he should have been emulating based off his tools. pac is such a fundamentally flawed fighter that if u cant do what he does, ur assed out fighting like him. i remember talking to a golden gloves coach a few years ago in the gym. and one of the things he said to a group of us is the fighter he would advise no1 to ever fight like is manny pacquiao. and thats what roach has done, he created a number of pacquiao clones.

I personally would never train with a trainer who has another 10 or so fighters in his gym, Roach is a greedy bastard and overrated as hell.

Roach is definitely a bad fit for both Linares and Khan. Linares fights better going backwards and has a fragile face. Khan has speed and some power but has a glass chin. Who's idea was it for Khan to train under Roach anyway?

I think he does have the talent just not the proper mindset and no trainer could ever fix that. He could have got taught to utilize his talent better by a different trainer but how would that trainer make Khan have the will to constantly strive to get better.
