Let's not act like Holyfield didn't have life and death fights with Bert Cooper, Michael Dokes and lose to Michael Moorer and Bowe in his prime.

Sure they don't have the same style as Haye, but Holyfield wasn't a God that would kill Haye in 10 seconds. Holyfield was one of my favorite fighters coming up, but he wasn't Mike Tyson invinceable.

If Dokes and Cooper can take a prime Holyfield to the limit, so can Haye.
Yeah, it's true. It would depend which Holyfield turned up.

If the best Holyfield turned up, he'd stop Haye IMO.

I think if the other Holyfield turned upm he'd still beat Haye. I just think he's the better fighter, he'd really got to work on the inside against Haye.

I do think Haye has a few tools that may give Holyfield some problems though. I can see what you're seeing.

But still, IMO, Holyfield definitely beats him.

Haye needs to control the tempo to be effective. Against Holyfield, he wouldn't be able to so I'd expect him to lose a decision. It would be fun if he caught Holyfield though.

Hayes work rate is ridiculously low, holy would chase him around the ring worse then Vlad

Also comparing the best possible Haye to the worst possible holyfeild? And you still have Haye losing? That says something

Haye can't fight inside whatsoever. If any heavyweight was going to expose that, it'd likely be Holyfield.

Haye has his moments early on
              Holyfield laughs them of
              Holyfield takes over
Wears him down and stops him around 9 or 10

Fun fight that Holyfield wins 99 times out of 100 when both are at their best. Holyfield was just a different animal

Did Holyfield not go life and death with Dokes and Bert Cooper?

Holyfield is my top 3 most favorite fighter of all time behind Roy, but stylistically it would be a competitive fight against Haye.

If he went life & death with those then Haye certainly went life & death with Chisora.
I maybe wrong but from I remember he put a real pasting on Cooper and stopped him pretty early. Beat up Dokes pretty bad too.

No doubt in my mind the Holyfield around Stewart, Douglas, Bowe, Foreman, Holmes time buries Haye.

What does the guy do better than a prime Holyfield?

Yeah, Haye's not in Holyfield's stratosphere IMO.

Lol a better question would be the toney that fought Holyfield vs haye that's an interesting fight to guys who really aren't heavy weights or very small ones at that.
