What baffles me is that you actually think Chisor was fine. Guys who go limp and hit the ground aren;t fine. Montiel got up too. Do you think he was fine?

hmm i must watched the wrong fight because big mouth wasnt limp when he was on the floor. although big mouth was in for the beating of his life i dont think he was that hurt yet.

the ref cannot take into account time left in the round, its why you cant be saved by the bell, ref treats it as though there is no break coming up, if a fighters health is in trouble doesnt matter if theres one second left at the end of the 12th , its the refs job to stop it.

The time did not matter,when a fighter puts his hands up to say he is fine I believe you should let them go..Unless they can't control their legs or look out on their feet..Which Derrick clearly did not seem like either was wrong with him..

in the "olden day" they also didnt have brain scans, rest periods after KO losses or even allowed the fighters to gain consciusness bafore dragging them out of the ring. theres a reason they left that in the past, its called progress. a fighters health comes first, they dont stop it for no reason.

chisora went down once and barely beat the count, once back on his feet he showed a complete inability to fight hurt. instead of clinching, covering up and avoid getting hit at all costs he left himself more open than he had all night. he wasnt intelligently defending himself at all and haye was bouncing flush shots off his jaw with full force. he went down hard, barely beat the count again and wobbled backwards. he left the ref no choice, had he showed he knew what to do in that situation maybe he deserved another chance but when you arent intelligently defending yourself the ref has to do it for you.

Yes, i got no problem with the stoppage. I think Chisora could have continued for a while longer, but some of the same treatment might have been heading his way later on.

He wouldn't of been taken more that round, he'd of been on his stool and had a minute to recover.
But yes a K.O like that would certainly make me happy!

its not the ref's place to take account of how much time is left in the round when seeing if a guy is fit to continue
