Premature stoppage IMO

how was it a bad stoppage? he got dropped, got up but was in pretty bad shape already. haye caught him with some brutal shots and i thought the ref was about to step in then and there, chisora went down hard a second time and most referees at that point would have waved it off and not gave him a chance to beat the count. chisora showed massive heart in beating the count but was done.
i mean i was rooting for chisora and was at first dissapointed he didnt get to go back to his corner and get one more chance to recover, but the result most likely would have been the same. after the first knockdown he should have tied up and not put himself in that position to begin with.Comment

If only he didn't get so reckless things were about to get more interesting. He was so reckless as if it was the last round and needed the koComment

the ref cannot take into account time left in the round, its why you cant be saved by the bell, ref treats it as though there is no break coming up, if a fighters health is in trouble doesnt matter if theres one second left at the end of the 12th , its the refs job to stop it.
seriously some of you lot have utterly ****e boxing knowledgeComment

If modern boxing is different to the olden day black and white footage of boxing then the stoppage is ok. Olden day boxing you had to nail opponents to the floor to get stoppages.
But chisora looked ok when he got up, a bit shaky but that is what happens when you get knocked down.Comment

WTF would it matter whether he complained or not? Ever seen a referee wave a fight off then let it go on because a fighter complained?
Sorry I have a different opinion or questioned the stoppage.

Yeah I'd like to think that people care more about a fighters health nowadays than back in the day with black and white footage. If modern boxing is different to the olden day black and white footage of boxing then the stoppage is ok. Olden day boxing you had to nail opponents to the floor to get stoppages.
But chisora looked ok when he got up, a bit shaky but that is what happens when you get knocked down.
No part of Chisora looked okay and unlike you and the people watching on TV or in the crowd the ref was inches away from Chisora being in a better position to assess his health.Comment

you cant be saved by the bell in any round, referees arent suppposed to take into account when in the round it is. when a fighter is unable to continue the fight is stopped, period.
he got up and shook his gloves so hes fine? by that assessment montiel was fine against donaire when he got up. he was far aeway from fine. if he was fine he wouldnt have wobbled backwards, he wouldnt have needed a 9 count to get up. hell he wouldnt have been on the floor a second time to begin with after the first time he got dropped.
chisora was hurt, more importantly he had showed an inability to defend himself when he was hurt. at that point its the refs job to do it for him and call a stop to teh fight, doesnt matter if its the last second of the last round.Comment

Chisora was done, a minute rest isn't going to do him much, the stoppage was perfect I don't want to see people getting too hurt in boxing, I don't think people realise the effects of getting hit in the head with 10oz of gloves SMH.Comment
