Its sorta an insult to both of them.

Gatti has a better chin. Cotto has more skills.

I predict he gets KOed in 06.sorry but I just don't see him hiding forever he has great heart but not enough chin to last in the welterweight division which is where he is heading before long.

i dunno, if cotto tried to brawl with floyd he will be absolutly embrassed, if he tries to box floyd he will be embrassed
if cotto tries to brawl with zoo, he will get KTFO and if he tries to box or brawl with hatton i dont think his chin will hold up
i have a feeling we will see more low key matches from cotto this year...unless he feels like a beating

Its funny to hear many of you gies talk about how "Cotto was exposed, Cotto needs to prove himself, Cotto is not going to be that great" etc...etc. Cotto has not lost!!!! He was hit by a very, very hard puncher. He tried to fight with a stronger fighter instead of box. Cotto is young and has alot of career left. At one point many boxers dont look good against certain opponents, it doesn't mean that they are not good. Look at JCC when he fought Frankie Randall. He lost. Look at Tyson vs. Douglas. You gies are basing this guys capabilities over the fact that he ALMOST got knocked out? When he was barely even knocked down. I am not saying that he is the best junior welter or welter but I am saying that he is one of the best. He is the best body puncher in both of those divisions. He boxes, and punches and looks good doing it. He is 25-0 with 21 KOs. with a respectable resume. He has had 1 close fight and it ended with a 7th round KO. You gies are speaking like he has lost. Mayweather looked very bad against JLC in the first fight, as a matter of fact to me and to the announcers he lost. But many of you are on the PBF banwagon. You gies are funny. I want to see how you gies feel if Cotto beats Castillo. Cotto is 25 fights in, as opposed to Mayweather's 35, or Hatton's 39(with one name on his resume). The difference is that Cotto has been exposed to the public much earlier in his career that these other fighters, allowing us to see him learn and make mistakes doing so.

                  hmm

Yeah, Floyd lost but he won the rematch. And I think Castillo is better than Cotto. Also, Cotto was supposed to be a tank and yet has been rocked by people that are not neccessarily known for punching power.

It's good that Cotto is exciting and powerful, and he will lose if he doesn't protect himself better. He has a lot of trouble making 140 as it is. At 147 he could get detroyed by the right fighter. Cotto is good at recovering but you only get so many chances.

Can you just say maybe Cotto is not as great as he was being hyped up to be?

I wouldn't say that he has been rocked by people that are "light punchers". He was rocked by torres(a very hard puncher 28-1-26) and demarcus corley who caught him on the temple, Oh and Cotto was not knocked down in that fight by the way. If you can remember anyone else who rocked him, let me know. Who hasn't been rocked in their career? I agree that he needs to protect himself better. He has great boxing skills and should use them more frequently instead of trying to brawl with certain fighters.
