the reality is noone at 122 is a solid draw outside of Mares & Donaire.

The only reason they would consider a Nishioka-Donaire match up is because of the belts and the fact that Nishioka, even at 35 is still willing to mix it up. He gives u the angles, he can crack for the most part, he's fun to watch man.

TopRank is grooming Donaire through the blueprint that his predecessor Pacquiao layed out for em. He'll be promoted as the heir to the Filipino throne, matched against these mexican brawlers with big names and billed as that next explosive, p4p guy. We all know that's not the case, but thats whats gonna happen

This is what I was thinking about. Don't know if there's any truth to it though.

Rigo hasn't done **** but he is talking too much. Perhaps Donaire should fight him to shut him up and get that title.

Good post. Definitely agree with this.

Rigo is a risk. Nishioka at least has the Japanese to make money off of and he is very fun to watch.

I remember him blasting out Jhonny Gonzales early and fighting a nice nice fight against Rafa.

Yeah I saw that thread...... I don't believe this whole pressure thing on Arum though.... He had a hand in not making May-Pac..... This "situation" comes nowhere close

Also remember Arum is a smart businessman. He may say, stay with TR and you get Donaire. He did it with Valero and Pac and others too like Cotto for Pac. He tried it with Gamboa and Rios.

But you really can't put anything past Arum can you now? Anything is possible with this guy.

And hopefully Rigo will learn from all those guys and unless it is in writing then ditch him (if that's what Rigo wants to do).

Rigo can't beat Donaire. Everyone thinks that Donaire can't punch at 122 until they find out.

Rigo is a two time Olympic gold medalist. Stfw, lmao. Rigo needs more fights.

To get to Donaires body, he will have to enter the danger zone of Donaires power. Once he tastes Donaires power, he will stop truly trying to win. Donaire is just too smart a fighter for Rigo right now!

so......rigo's still the toughest opposition for donaire right now - boxing is where the number one and number two face each other and determine who's best.....or at least that's how it used to be.....

Renew your contract with Top Rank or else you'll never have a chance to fight Donaire sooner than later (when you're both over the hill).
