It could be argued that the Ring shouldn't have dropped Peterson or Bradley from its ratings. Bradley had a fight at 147, but never announced his intention to stay there.

Although, it could also be argued that The Ring made the right call here. If Bradley isn't in the division and Peterson is suspended, then the 1 vs 2 would be for the belt and that's Garcia and Khan...

its honestly pathetic. ring has become another worthless championship with these new rules. worthless.

theres a lot thats wrong with this imo. bradley never stated his intetion to abandon the weight class, khan still lost his last fight, whether peterson gets dropped or not, it doesnt explain how khan stays #1 garcia is #2 and a guy like mathysse is below them. it doesnt make sense at all, imo.

according to your own logic mathysse should be below peterson and garcia since he didn't win those fights against judah and devon

I'm going to play devil's advocate just because I think it's an interesting debate. Let's focus on Garcia at #2 vs Matthysse being ranked lower.

Does a guy with wins over Nate Campbell, Kendall Holt, and Erik Morales deserved to be ranked over a guy with wins over Humberto Soto and Vivan Harris? Keep in mind, official wins.

I agree with your point about Khan coming off a loss and about Bradley. They didn't remove Mayweather from 147 when he jumped to 154, but removed Huck and Bradley so they could fill belts.

actually u have it reversed. my point is if they are gonna give khan credit for a fight he did not win, why not give mathysse the same credit. my problem is not really with khans ranking as much as it is with garcias.

he doesnt. not imo. humberto soto is a better win than any of those guys, they are all very much past prime, very much so.

and ring doesnt always play the official decision card, and they really shouldnt against mathysse. it looks to me that they are taking advantage here. and to me that dilutes their high standing.

You do realize that Soto doesn't have a quality win at 140, right? Soto, while not as far gone as Holt and Campbell, was probably around Erik Morales in terms of quality. I would pick Morales over Soto to be honest.

And The Ring should always respect the official decision. That's what makes me so outraged at this new staff. Nigel Collins and his bunch would have never jumped the gun in order to have more belts filled.
