Taylor didn't beat Hopkins in impressive fashion, I had Taylor winning by one point, but there are many people that believe he lost.

Fighter of the year needs to win convincingly.
Right indeed my friend. Even "The Greatest" fighter in most people's eyes, or at least the greatest heavyweight ever retired with 5 losses. It's what you do after those losses that make you a real champion.

Good job on not being bias. When I saw your signature I thought for sure you were going to pick Corrales as the fighter of the year.

Hell no. Corrales is the least deserving of fighter of the year out of those choices. Sure, the Castillo loss was controversial, but Corrales ****ed up by taking the fight. Corrales got my vote for fighter of the year last year (he beat Casamayor and Freitas), but definitely not this year.

So are you saying that Corrales never should of fought a rematch or he never should of fought Castillo after the weight issue?

yea but he still put his record on the line.. he wouldnt want to lose..no one wants to lose.. plus hopkins is a tough opponent and taylor beat him.. the second fight i scored it the same 115-113 for taylor and i belive alot of people scored it the same... the only people who dissagreed were the hopkin fans... i like hopkins and all but he lost the fight and as for the 1st fight i scored it very close also but hey im wasnt judging the fight... as for duane ford who gave taylor the last round of the 1st fight i thought was wrong but i guess thas what he seen and he gave it to taylor and thas what made him win

He shouldn't have fought because of the weight issue. I felt he shouldn't have fought Castillo at all, but so many fans of Castillo were claiming cheating that Corrales being the warrior he is wanted to prove everyone wrong. That's all fine and dandy, but when the opponent fails to make weight by a huge margin of 2 ****ing pounds, you say no fight. Corrales had too much heart and wanted the money too bad to say no. Shame on him.

Corrales would of still been paid since he met all the requirements of his contract even if he decide to not fight.

You are crazy, you are telling me Castillo didn't deserve a rematch? I agree with you about the weight issue, but how can you say Corrales shouldn't have gave Castillo a rematch?

Castillo nearly had the fight in the bag, and almost had Corrales knocked out and finished, but Corrales was SO lucky to pull it off.

To say Castillo didn't deserve a rematch is crazy!

I think Corrales should of stayed away from Castillo period. In the first fight, he definitely showed the genuine qualities that make him such a great champion (heart, power, etc.) but he was definitely getting beat for 11 rounds and even though he pulled a trick out of his hat and got the win, there's no way thats going to happen the second time.

Sorry to say Fuego (just my opinion), but fighting Castillo the 3rd time is really going to hurt his career. How many wars exactly has he been in?!
