Brook has a bright future but he is no superstar.

His performances against European/domestic level fighters made him look sensational and while he did look good, his flaws were there. His opponents were not good enough to expose these and last night, Jones did.

I'm not hating, just being very critical.

He boxes very well and has a nice jab, switches to southpaw and triples up the jab effectively. Staying in southpaw against someone like Jones is very dangerous though and I was screaming for him to change back. Doesn't seem to have solid power but he still packs a punch and Jones did really well to keep coming.

The broken nose and body shots really slowed Brook down and allowed Jones to come on strong late on. Last round was worrying and at one point I was thinking Brook is going to have to take a knee to recover after a Jones onslaught.

Brook's weakness is his defense. He's complacent at times when going from the inside to range as he'll leave his lands low and got tagged a few times doing so. Doesn't really have much of an inside game, as is with most British fighters these days, and was bullied by Jones' strength. His head movement is quite limited too and for a style that relies heavily on reflexes, he needs to move more. His footwork/movement around the ring is good though.

he is clearly much more skilled than margarito, if you cant see that i dont know what to tell you. hes not that one dimensional either, hes a pressure fighter who is only effective going forward but thats it.

he can lead or counter, he can fight at diffrent range, diffrent pace. hes got very good fundamentals, hes speed aint bad. hes a good boxer brook just has phenomenal speed and boxing skills which made jones' boxing skills look worse.
