I thought it was a good victory for him. anybody that knows any amount of boxing shoulda known it woulda been a tough fight.
Exactly , Im glad someone on here knows what they are talking about.

Thing about the jab though is you don't have to neccessarily land it for it to be effective. Putting the jab out there, especially when you have tremendous arm length, generally keeps the opponent from throwing and usually backs them up - so if you're putting 30-40 jabs out there each round, it IS gonna deter the opponent whether it lands or not.

Good point, man. I agree, but it is hard with a guy like Will. Easy for us to sit back and say. nothing Kelly can't work on. He has always had an excellent jab.

I agree, that's why it drives me nuts when he doesn't use it like he should. He could make his fights so much easier for himself it he used it A LOT. I noticed that in his last few fight (pre-rehab) that he started out well with the jab, but then after about the second round it became almost non-existant. A lot of boxers do that too, and it's a shame because you can really see the difference in their game.... dominating first few rounds when using the jab consistantly, later in the fight quits using the jab and ends up brawling more (harder fight).

It leaves me dumbfounded too, bro. lol I don't understand why Kelly stopped using it. I guess only he and maybe Garcia knows...I have always loved his jab, though.

I think Rosinsky was Pavliks most talented opponent since Sergio Martinez. Although a huge drop from Martinez.Rosinsky way better level of opponent o than Jaco, Sigmon and Alfonso Lopez, although Lopez did have a pulse, which Jaco and Sigmon did not.
Great match making by Cameron Dunkin just the right level of opponent for Pavlik who is improving after his long layoff.. No matter what happens Pavlik will be more prepared to fight who ever is next, than he was if he fought Bute a couple of years ago, that would have been a sure career ending fight for Pavlik in my opinion..Pavlik much more mentally and physically organized than at the end of his 1st career following the Lopez fight..

Pavlik still has lots of power. Now, just like before, he seems to be having trouble landing it against mobile targets.

His lack of Jab is hurting him. Why he abandoned it I have no idea. That was his bread and butter. I like his new body punching but you should not add something new to your mix and then throw out something else.

I will tell you why Pavlik could be on the decline to me. During his comeback, something has been missing, and that his his willingness to just let his hands go. He seems more reactionary now to what his opponent is doing. Now could this mean he is declining? It might just be that. This also could be related to the lack of Jab and because of that he is not getting the punching opportunities he once was. If it is due to the lack of jab, it is fixable. If it is due to losing reflexes, then he will lose very soon.

                    Maybe Pavlik should switch southpaw.
