I suppose, a rematch in Montreal can be the true barometer on whether Bute is a glorified regional champ who is great against club fighters, or a true elite level fighter. Froch is a tough fight in England or on the road, so its not like he'll be an easy fight just because he's on the road. Hell, he said it in the beginning of the promotion with the first fight, they think they're safe because of the rematch clause.

Im not using it as an excuse but didnt Fat Dan say before the fight that Bute had a bad foot or tow infection before the fight. I know he usually is making fun of Haye because of that same reason. Maybe Bute was just having an off night?

He needs this rematch, and having another fight in between is the right move. I can't see what Bute does so differently that he wins the second time though.

Have never been a fan of Bute and I'm not now, but you can't deny dude has nuts to get back in the ring w/Froch considering how badly he got thumped.

And by all means let him get a confidence builder in before the rematch.

This is key. Bute couldn't even take Froch's body shots, he looked like he was from a weight class below. Can't see how the fight ends differently unless Froch gets his jaw cracked in his next fight, and even then maybe not.

Incidentally, I think Froch will fight Pavlik next.

Props to Bute for being willing to step in against the Cobra again. Sometimes knockouts come quicker in the second fight.

Really hope Froch can face Kessler in England.

If Bute is more competitive in the rematch then he would somewhat salvage his career. He can hardly do worse than the first fight...

Bute already fought Bika and dominated him.
