To be entirely honest, I'm not even sure that Martinez is getting past Jr any more. Jr has stepped his game up monumentally as of late.

He's defence is also weird, I don't think it passes test against top quality fighters.
Generally I don't think Pirog gets destroyed, I think Golovkin wins clearly after competitive, but not close fight.

I actually admire his defense and posture. His style is constantly changing with different looks and he switch hits in mid punch while changing speeds on all his punches. I actually believe the genius in his craft is his ever changing guard. I know golovkin is powerful but I can see him getting fits with a style he has never seen before. That style isn't even seen here in the states. Its pretty unique IMO, its not 123 or overly athletic. Its constantly changing. I do admit that it would be a competitive fight but on both sides. I don't see an easy time for either guy IMO.

no, he'll call out Cotto, Pac, and Floyd
he's been at MW for a while now
he might not even be able to go down to JMW again by this point
he's not interested in taking on the best contenders at MW
he's just hunting for money now

Call me crazy, but I think Sturm would step up and fight the winner of Pirog/Golovkin. It's either that, or he risks losing his title.

Winner of Sturm/Geale (WBA super/IBF belts) vs. winner of Pirog/Golovkin (WBA world/IBO). So if everything goes like it should, we'll have a clear unified WBA/IBF/IBO titlist.

Chavez/Martinez would clean up the WBC.

N'Jikam is gonna get a WBO title shot, and if Pirog loses against Golovkin, maybe the WBO will allow him to fight for the title.

MW is my favorite division right now, the future is looking pretty bright.

I wish he would do that, isn't there a quote somewhere that Martinez told canelo not to be talking smack or else, after he would beat Chavez that he would go back down to 154 and take back what was rightfully his.

If ginger's handlers are ducking the entire 154lb division, what in the world makes you think that they're gonna fight Martinez?? LOL!!

ofcourse if he doesnt fight the pirog-golovkin winner he will lose his status as MW champion and be demoted to titleholder in my eyes. its not impossible that he does fight GGG though, i mean who else is out there? if theres no big money fight martinez will fight him, hes not a ducker he just wants to get paid.
I can understand that but alot of Martinez supporters/apologists will want it both ways and claim he's still MW Champ even if he chases money and ducks the top MW's. I just don't see the majority being that reasonable and in spite of having some sympathy for his plight in wanting a payday as a boxing fan i do think it's extremely unadmirable for him to not give the heir apparent a shot.

lol You're crazy. That's the entire reason Sturm wanted to unify with Geale. Unification was the only way he could avoid the WBA's insistance that he fight Golovkin and if he wins he will drop the WBA Super belt so he doesn't have to fight the Golovkin/Pirog winner especially if its Golovkin and he will still be IBF Champion.

They're going to strip Pirog before the Golovkin fight. N'jikam will either be upgraded to full Champion or he'll fight some scrub and win the belt. I never really understood why they were so hellbent on stripping Pirog but now there is talk of Cotto wanting to move to MW and it makes sense now. Strip Pirog, have Cotto fight N'jikam, have Cotto-Mayweather rematch for MW belt. Boxing corruption is chess not checkers. Got to be thinking several moves ahead and never underestimate their greed or complete lack of ethics.
