    Greater win: Ali/Foreman or Leonard/Hager?

I don't mean which was the better performance (cause that would be Ali since he KOed Foreman) but the better win.

You have Ali beating an undefeated, prime and seemingly indestructible Foreman and Leonard coming back after 5 years of retirement to go straight for Hagler without a tune up (Hagler hadn't lost in over 10 years).

In both fights, people feared for the safety of the eventual winners.

Larry, you kind of answered your question in your original post.

Ali had the greater win because he actually stopped his opponent. Some feel Hagler was robbed.

A better question would've been, who was the better fighter at the time; Foreman or Hagler.

Hagler was one of the greatest MW champions while Foreman was one of the greatest HW's.

At the time, I would say the Foreman victory was better. He was Mike Tyson before Mike Tyson.

Foreman actually beat great fighters in there prime, Tyson didn't.

And Foreman was Liston Mk II

And is this a serious question?

The answer is oblivious and it ain't even close.

Ali over Foreman because Leonard didn't win that fight against Hagler

                  Hagler beat Leonard.

                  No question it's option 1.
