We'll see who gets farther after it's all said and done. Guaranteed Russell, Gamboa, Lara and Rigo all get further than Juanma ever will.

Btw expect Lopez to fight nothing but bums from now on. His career was over when he went 12 vs Mtagwa.

Also, if Marquez hadn't injured himself something tells me he would've stopped Lopez late rounds. Lopez's lack of stamina and D have always been there to exploit. He was just a result of perfect matchmaking.

No point in talking about Russell Jr - Juanma either. It will never happen anyway.

This fight not happening anytime soon. JuanMa would have to get a couple of good wins first then get knockout by Russel. Al Haymon and Bob Arum don't do events together so no chance of this fight happening.

Marquez was injured and yet was still able to make it a competitive fight. Lopez beat him, but it wasn't the type of win that is career-defining.

I'd have to see how Juanma bounces back from those losses to Siri first before thinking he can walk through someone again.

good fight, russell jr is really not experience fighter yet, so i think juanma could take the win, we jus need to see russell jr more tough fights n prove that he can take shots or be patient n box who knows we dont kno much bout him against good top fighters

Experience or not, no defense Lopez would lose badly. He needs to learn basic **** it's just embarrassing.

It's a big jump in quality of opposition, but I think Russel has a good chance to pull it off. If he did, it would be a sweet coming out party.

Thing is, why would Juanma risk it? If he were to lose, I gotta' think it would pretty much put a wrap on his career in the upper echelons.

Seriously. Are people forgetting what Salido did to him? Lopez is done as a world class fighter. Or at least elite fighter where fighters like Russell can't beat him. Russell should fight that undefeated fighter he was scheduled to fight and then fight a top contender in the division. If Russell aims for a big name like Lopez he should look for the biggest challenge out there which would be someone like Mikey Garcia.

                    You know what? I disagree.

Lopez is a world class fighter that fell in love with his power and forgot how to do everything else. Salido is a good, tough warrior but against who else would he land those huge, looping punches over and over and over again?

It wasn't Salido it's basic ****, don't stick you're chin up, don't telegraph your punches, don't use the same combination all the time, think about what you're doing. Lopez has become a ****ty boxer but he has some of the heavy hands.
